    Hi,

Just wondering can someone recommend a place to get the battery changed on my Rotary watch. I received it as a wedding gift over 3 years ago and never wore it and then took it out of the box the other day and it isn't working-assuming it's the battery. Also any idea how much it might cost?

I'm in the Dublin 2 area.

    Thanks.

Any high street jeweller will do a new battery for you (~€10).

If it is a water resistant watch and you want it resealed to preserve the water resistance you could go to Fast Fix in the St Stephens Green Centre or www.watchrepairs.ie on South William Street. This should cost around €30. Most high street jewellers would have to send the watch away to be resealed.

There has been a few bad stories about Fast Fix on this forum but I have found them to be OK on the couple of times that I have used them. watchrepairs.ie are highly recommended by many.

Thanks a mill, I'm just around the corner from South William Street so i'll try there.

I'm not too sure if it's water resistant ( I assume it is!)so i'll play safe and go to the highly recommended place.

    Thanks again.

I'm back and all sorted. The watch is only splash proof so the lady did it there and then-super efficient and very friendly. Cost €10.

    Thanks.
