How can I install a 2nd magic eye to my skybox?
I have one in my kitchen but want to fit another for the kids room and maybe a third eye if possible.
My skyhd box has a single 9v output so can this be split or do I need some extra equipment.
Don't want anything too elaborate or expensive.
    Thanks in advance.

You will need a bi-directional amp such as a global F140(4WAY) amplifier put in place to split the signal to the other rooms. The advantage of an F140 is that the sky box will power it so its great for attics etc.

If you need bigger the F180 = 8 outputs
OR F280 =16 outputs however these will need a power source as well.

In theory it should work but as you have already said you mite want a third room so better to get a 4way amp for an extra small amount and your set for upto 4 rooms. I have seen splitters used like this in the past and they have failed...

there is also an f120 2 way amp available but there is very little difference in price.

It's worth noting that I've heard that these amps don't work with the new I/O port system on the new sky boxes. They don't deliver enough current to power more than one eye. You'd need a distribution amp with it's own power supply.
