German wings in Shannon

    Just had a German wings aircraft departure from Shannon bout 10 minutes ago. Was a very bumpy take off. But what I don't get is German wings don't fly from Shannon. So was there a medical emergency or re fuel? Pity it's not a sheduled flight

    painting id guess?

    it seems to be flying under GWI6942, similar to the lufthansa flight number for painting/maintenance etc

    They are ex Lufthansa A/C transferring to Germanwings , getting maintenance and cabin re-config by Shannon Aerospace and painting by Eirtech! There has been 3 or 4 so far, not sure how many there will be in total!

    Several of these will be in Shannon over the next few months for maintenance.
