So what do I want for christmas?

Well, since the only thing I can predict ill need in the next few months would be a belt Ive asked for that from the missus.

However, I think id also like a dip belt.

Problem, I dont want to be carrying 2 belts, chalk, foam roller, bands, note book, water bottle etc to the gym.

Do they make combination dip belts/lifting belts. A cursory look on amazon shows nothing. Something I can deadlift with then hook a chain to and do dips and pull ups with.

Also what kind of parameters do I get her to look for?

Im thinking leather, 4-6 inches wide, buckles not velcro. medium, im a 34-36 incher belly wise.

gonna let her shop and pick, so any advice I can pass along to her?

10mm single prong belt. Same width all around. Check out Inzer for an example.

No such think as a combo belt. But some chain maybe and DIY. Totally different pieces of kit tbh

BJJ belt, was my first instinct.

You'd rig a BJJ belt with chain and carabiners alright. Probably cheaper to get a dip belt from d8 tho. Bynthe time you invest the time and effort in making your own...

Have a belt at home, you can just tie them. ne need for carabiners

    ever tried, but seems fine.

Ill just get her to go to D8 and grab a lifting belt for me.

Ask her for a bigger bag as well.

Size wise, they dont need to be tight right?

The idea is to push your abs into the belt?

have it all + more in the boot. just bring up what I need in a shoulder bag.

I miss the days when all that was in that shoulder bag was a pen paper and empty water bottle and my locker key.

You dont want to know (or smell) what I have in the big bag in the boot.

It shouldn't be too tight...you want to push your abs out against it to create the 'tightness' rather than just tighten the bejesus out of it. Also, it should be the same width all round rather than be narrow at the front - they don't cover enough surface area of your abdominals.

Other than that, you probably just need to specify thickness: 10mm or 13mm.
