Repair ABS Nissan Tiida

    Excuse the lack of detail here but I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on a quote of €2.5k to repair/replace ABS unit in an 07 Nissan Tiida petrol. Friend of mine just got that quote from his main dealer garage and has almost taken a weakness!

    The car can't be worth much more then that. Surly a second hand part and a backstreet mech can do it at a fraction of that price

    Agree and told him to go to a couple of independent garages for quotes. I was just wondering what should he expect to pay for this kind of job.
