:( Hi all..I have a 06 Passat 1.9 diesel..sometimes when I start I get a thump from the engine like a mount is loose, had gearbox mount checked and its fine..any idea's thanks

At a guess, an intermittent startup "thump" is most likely excessive free play in the Dualmass Flywheel. There are a million forums devoted to this not uncommon issue with VW diesels.
