What do you think of a 17 year old who hasn't kissed?

I am a 17 year old girl who has never kissed a boy. It's not that I don't want to but I haven't been interested in many guys or if I have liked them it wasn't mutual. I have been asked a few times but I have said no as I didn't like those guys. I am not waiting for Mr. Perfect but I don't see the point in kissing guys just so I can come into school and tell everybody.

Do you think I should just score with a guy because that is what my year expects me to do? (i am often made fun of because I haven't)

What age did you have your first kiss? Did you like that person? Do you regret it?

Also, any ideas on how I could meet some nice guys as most of the boys in my year are idiots?

OP, I was in college when I had my first kiss after undergoing teasing in secondary school, so you're not that unusual (and I did/do like the person btw!). Just sounds like you're mentally more mature than most of your peers. Don't be too self-conscious about it, you can meet members of the opposite sex that you actually like through college societies (if you go on to 3rd level), sports, or whatever.

Lad here. I had my first kiss at 19. Similar to yourself I didn't see the point in shifting some girl just so I could tell the lads in school, also, I was never interested in discos and such. Like you I was asked by a few people but turned them down as I wasn't interested. I was interested in one girl at one point, but it wasn't mutual, unfortunately.

You should do whatever you want, don't let people pressure you into something if it's not what you want. It's pretty sad that people feel the need to pick on you over this. Anyway, judging by your age, you'll be out of school within the next year or two and you won't need to worry so much about fun being made of you over it since things are different outside a school environment. Also, teenagers will find something to slag other teenagers off about regardless, so I'm not sure that scoring some chap would even make that much of a difference, to be honest.

I had a bit of fun poked at me over this myself when I was in school, but I don't regret not grabbing some random girl to kiss just so I could say I had. Guys at your age are bound to be immature in general, but I'm sure there are exceptions.

I'd recommend joining some sort of special interest group/club; these are the places to find people you can connect to since you'll have something in common. This will become even easier if you go to college because there's something for everyone there with all the clubs and societies. Good luck!
