Hi! I just started a very stressful 10 hour a day job two months ago, and I haven't paid much attention to the details of paying property tax. I have 2 rental properties on which I have made returns and have paid the property tax on those and my own home by direct debit since last year and all is paid up to date. However, an accountant friend just rang me today to say that today was the last day to sign the instruction form, and even if I had the property tax set up by direct debit since the beginning of this year, it didn't matter, and now I would be in trouble with the Revenue. Is this true? I tried to go online earlier this evening, but I can't find the ID numbers for my properties, and so was unable to log on. I never got a letter from the Revenue re the property tax or where there was a tick box re payment instruction. In fact, I never got any letters at all from Revenue re the property tax, and just put my own very accurate valuation in and that was accepted. What do I do now? I just presumed they would go on taking the money by direct debit and would take whatever they needed out of my account? Am I in trouble or not? Really stressed, hard-working single parent!

    Thanks.
