looking to change car suggestions

    Ok folks,
    Im looking to change the car,have a renault and been living in the garage with it,costing me a fortune as every little thing is breaking in it.
    I want to steer clear of the French cars,avg around 12-15k miles per yr at the moment.
    Looking for a 1.4-1.6 can import if needed.
    Budget 5500 -6000,need a car that has a reliable reputation or wont give me too much trouble.

    Or an avensis or maybe Honda civic will be way more reliable oh and good luck trading the Renault.
