Hi

So I have just basic question I would like to be a bartender or work in sales mainly as a retail person in fashion store, however I have no experience whatsoever but im fast leaerner, whenever I applied they refused me because I have no experience...so my basic question is WHEN and FROM WHO I can get an experience? Its so depressing.

Firstly you're attitude stinks. I assume its a bit of keyboard bravado but it'll come across in any application you make to a retail/bar manager worth his/her salt. Secondly working in a charity shop is not slavery, neither is doing a few shifts in a pub restaurant to gain some experience. At the moment it's an employers market and if you're not willing to build the CV you need don't expect to get a job.

What you mean by attitude? Noone said about charity organisations which are free and Im not saying its a slavery. Its not easy for even shifts, I applied for many bars - 0 response.

That would give young lads like this a better shot of getting experience without such a high bar in the way

I'm a was a retail manager for over a decade. I can spot a numpty a mile off. Feel free to ignore my advice it's not really any skin off my nose. I can't think of a single person I ever employed, who I'm still in contact with who has an issue finding a job.

I've already given it to you:

Adjust your attitude - you probably don't even realise how you come across*.
Build your CV - Charity jobs would be a good place to start.

Once that's done, look at working somewhere for free to build up a bit of experience, if you're smart about it you'll get hired on.

I can't possibly advise you what to say, it's very easy to get a job just on spiel and action alone (It's how I got my first sales job at 17) but you're not up to it kido.

My income at 16/17 was what I earned, of course I was living at home. At 18 it was purely what I earned minus my tuition fees and my not unsubstantial rent and bar bill.

If you need a job I've told you how to go about getting one. I'm happy to provide you with as much advice as I can, which is quite a bit when it comes to working in retail/sales. I'm afraid it's not easy, but it is pretty simple.

You sound like your on a very high horse, its still difficult for thousands to find work, unless of course they have worked for you with your experience.

Perhaps and perhaps justifiably so. I dont pretend to be able to help IT professionals find a job but I can offer some pretty good advice to someone seeking a sales / retail role. Perhaps I do that in a big headed way, perhaps I treat people as they treat others. I'm happy to offer an attitude free service for say €50 an hour? If you want it for free you get it complete with my posting style. Take it or leave it.
