What's the name of that brown dressing/sauce often served with goats cheese?

Keep having it and then forgetting to ask what it is. It's very nice!

Sometimes it's just balsamic vinegar and honey.

Or could be just reduced balsamic vinegar.

I've had a sauce made from figs before with goats cheese. Pretty sure it was a brownish colour

I asked that in a restaurant once, and it was just a balsamic reduction, it was served with salad iirc, but may have been goats cheese. Was very tasty, and presumably very simple to make.
