How much meal for weanlings

    Right lads just housed 30 weanlings avg weight 350 kg. wondering how much meal for the winter. silage is around 70 dmd. looking to have them a bit more than ticking over when they come out

    similar silage myself so im feeding 2kg of alkagrain barley to my weanlings

    When feeding barley to the weanlings how are ye looking after the mineral end of things.Licks/bolus/dust...Would a cheap weanling ration be better or worse option.Some lads would tell ya that too much barley can be severe on weanlings.true/false. I suppose the amount you feed depends on what road your going down in spring.Your own grass or the bull beef route

    2 kilo's would be plenty ,i think you'd gain nothing by giving any more.
    And no meal about a month before they go to grass.
