CPD course grants or benefits

    Hi all

    I have been employed as an intern under the job bridge scheme for over a month now, and might i add, i love it. getting great experience and my colleagues and boss are excellent in training and teaching me, and plus its only 4 days a week. So i feel i got really lucky as i know some internships are pointless and hell for some people.

    anyway, i was looking to further my education by doing a cpd diploma in DIT which would make me more employable as the diploma caters for a niche and up and coming market in ireland. this course is not under the springboard and is part time (friday evening and weekends), and i was encouraged by my boss to do it, although i wouldnt expect them to pay as i am only an intern.

    my question is;

    are there any benefits or grants available, either from the welfare department or independant organisations, that would help in paying for this course since technically i am in receipt of social welfare under the job bridge scheme?

    any info would be much appreciated.

    cheers
