Teeth Whitening (Hollywood White)

There have been several threads posted on this topic but all of them are very much outdated.

So, I was wondering, could people please share their 'teeth whitening' experience, whether it was done with strips, by their dentist, laser, etc.

It's something I've always wanted to get done but with all the different methods available today I would like to research each before choosing.

I take great care of my teeth!

Those Crest whitening strips do the job very cheaply and quickly. I remember a little toooth sensitivity while I was using them, but I think I was doubling up on how often I applied the strips, so not surprising.

I did try these and found them good (temporarily).

Started off with the 'Gentle' and progressed to 'Advanced'.

However, neither gave that 'Hollywood' white look, bright white.

Exposé did an experiment on teeth whitening a few months back. It was 'Laser vs Dentist', however I missed it.

Would have loved to have seen the outcome.

I have had mine done twice, first time was a 2 hour treatment using peroxide which costs €60, my teeth came up really white I was delighted. Since then peroxide has been banned in this product so they now have a substitute whitening gel without the peroxide which is also €60 for an 2 hour treatment, I had this one done a year after the first and the results were just as impressive however it didn't last as long, its been 4 months since I had them whitened and I think I should get them done again.

Can this do damage to your enamel etc?

€60 is very cheap.

Just wondering where you got this done?

Getting married in July and a few of my teeth were damaged a few years ago from football and due to the financial constraints with getting married, I'm not really in a position to get them 'properly' done.

Alot of the people with the "Hollywood" white look have veneers and crowns on their teeth to get that unnatural gleaming white look.
They have most likely spent a small fortune on their teeth .
