****ing hell BBNG were amazing tonight. So energetic. Most respectful moshpit I've ever been in, too. "stay safe guys"
Can't wait for them to come back.

Mobb Deep Dublin date to be announced real soon

Would agree that the crowd was good last night at Q. Small in size but enthusiastic. It always suprises me how few people at hip hop gigs in Ireland seem to know the songs for the most part.

Just over an hour long of a set. One thing that was annoying was the big gaps between songs due to Q blowing out his arse, took a bit of the momentum out of it each time.

Mobb Deep is being done by the same lads (Bloodshed) that put on Onyx and Outlawz. I'd expect more from them as well this year.

There is also a new promoter called D11 that's after springing up, they will be organising more hip hop gigs as well.
Lady Leshur has been pencilled in for Nov 16th in the Twisted Pepper.

    Ticket booked for Sziget.

I'm going to see OutKast :D

I'll be around for Macklemore as well. Not fussed but if there aren't many at it I might pop in.

Anyone know stage times for Pusha?

Was looking for this myself this morn. On Friday it was:

    7.00 Meridian Dan
    7.45 Yogi
    8.30 Pusha
    9.45 close

Anyone know who's on the set tonight?

yeah think there's only one support act, Simi Crowns, I'd expect it to be 9:30 by the time Pusha's on

Very disappointed that he only played one Clipse song.

Considering how much love people have for them, and that it was the first time either malice or pusha played in Ireland, I thought he could have played a few.

Would have loved to see Doorman and Wamp Wamp live.

Yeah, I looked up his recent set lists about a week ago and he pretty much stuck exclusively to that, would've loved to have heard a couple more off Lord Willin or HHNF but I wasn't surprised either. Enjoyable gig, albeit very short - I think going off stage for your encore after 35 mins is kind of taking the piss. Thought Simi Crowns was very entertaining too, always a tough gig supporting big name artists.

Also, the crowd was the least rough of any hip hop gig I've been to, I'd say Snoop tonight will be a veeeery different story :o

Yea was Pusha was pretty efficient. Limo outside waiting for him (I presume) so he weren't hanging around.

Enjoyed it, he banged through the joints.

Lowlight - the ole ole ole'os. Makes my skin crawl.

Every bloody Irish hip hop has it. Never been to one without it happening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 217 ✭✭Cast Iron

Every gig ever here has it. I just can't abide it anymore! !

  • Moderators, Music Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 25,734 Mod ✭✭✭✭Boom_Bap

Festivals are the worst for it....you have to hear it at every performance throughout the festival.
