Having a problem.....

    Hi guys,
I'm a little bit pissed off. My story goes as follows.......

I returned from abroad last month after living in the US and went down to the social welfare office. Luckily I got a job within 2 weeks here in Ireland so I was only owed 2 weeks welfare. So I finally got my check this morning and it was only 45 euro.

I thought that I should have gotten 188 a week? By two which would make 376?

Basically I was told that I'm living at home so I'm not entitled to full payments. I have been working since I was 16 and have had many jobs here in Ireland in the past. I'm 24 now and a recent graduate

I don't understand how the system works. Basically all the guys that I know on the dole are younger than me and have never worked a day in their lives but they are getting 188 or something like that.

Is there any way that I can appeal or can anybody explain how things work?
