    1. What is your budget? Approx. €1000-€1200

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Mainly for gaming, internet and a little bit of photo editing

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? I have Windows 7 so I'm okay

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have nothing to spare, upgrading from my dead college laptop

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. Anything from 20" to 27"

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Haven't finally decided but I would like to possibly have the option of a card reader and maybe wifi, I should be okay for everything else

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Tbh, not really sure what overclocking is, so yes (?)

    8. How can you pay? Most options are available

    9. When are you purchasing? No set time frame at the moment, but hopefully within the next month or so

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Limerick

As I already said, upgrading from my old college laptop so anything that a lot quieter and doesn't roast my legs would be great! I dont have that much space at the moment but I probably will be moving where I would have more room in the near future.
I do have a build in mind but seeing as this would be my first build I wouldn't mind seeing someone else's, more experienced opinion, on what I can get for my money.

Anyhoo, thanks, I look forward to seeing what ye recommend! :)

Something like this should do the trick.

You will have to use http://geizhals.de/ to get the discounted prices shown. Just search for each item and select hwvs from the list of sellers.

If you want a 27" monitor you could go for this one instead.

Add a dvd drive and sata cable if you need one.

    Ohhh, kinky! :D

I tried to do that list thing earlier but I got lost and chrome didnt want to play ball, so heres a list with out the links, sorry...

    CPU - Intel Core i7-3770 - 3.4Ghz - Socket 1155 Quad Core, includes cooler
    Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V LX - Socket 1155 ATX Intel Z77, 4xDDR3, SATA6000/USB3.0
    Memory - Crucial Ballistix Sport 8Gb - PC3-12800 - DIMM DDR3, 1600MHz, 1.5V, CL9, 2x4Gb
Storage -Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage -Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal
Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card
Power Supply -Corsair CX 600W 80+ Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
    Case - Fractal Design Define R4 Midi-Tower, 2xUSB2.0 / 2xUSB3.0 / Audio
    Monitor - Samsung Series 3 S24C350H - 24"

I've been looking at Komplett and hardwareversand and both are coming to about €1250 give and take depending where I look. I am flexible with the price but wouldn't mind saving something here and there.
I dont have wifi or the card reader included as they are really only an after though and are not necessary from day one.

Well for starters with your list I'd drop the ivy bridge 3770 and go haswell 4770 11 euro more. And find a similar priced mobo.

That said bloods build is solid and over 200 euro cheaper.
