If you go to Dubai Airport on Google maps now and zoom over their new A380 terminal, you can explore an A380 on street view. Pretty cool. Huge aircraft. The flight deck looks very cool.

Ummmm. Must be some pretty swanky or perhaps ' comfortable ' hospital you hang out in.

Is economy class on it? It seems as if they only mapped the upper deck Business and 1st class cabins. Pretty nice machine and I flew it last year from Bangkok to Dubai; and previously with Qantas from Sydney to Los Angeles.

Flew to and from Auckland on one and it has such a spacious feel thanks to the higher ceilings in economy than most planes. Although I see there was a news story suggesting EK was thinking about 11-across, what a way to ruin the nicest economy class in the sky since you know AF, BA etc. would probably follow suit like when EK went 10-across on 777 many others followed like sheep.

Uugh economy - glad to see the back of those seats although I was only on one for 7 hours. You wouldnt even know you just landed in the biggest passenger plane in the world -so smooth

A random A380 question, was looking at the Qantas layout on seatguru (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Qantas_Airways/Qantas_Airways_Airbus_A380_B.php)

Anybody know why row 70 only has 3-3-3 layout? would be tempted to pay for 71D actually has good space...

If it's the same seat as 25D on the BA A380 then 3:25 into this video might explain it.
Problem is though the entertainment screen is further away from you. I presume the seat has a side folding tray.
The missing seat leaves an emergency escape hatch for the lower crew deck.

    This too shall pass.

Here's a pic of a improv mandolin session in the business class bar somewhere between Auckland and Sydney last week. I was on the way to Tokyo for work stuff. Most amazing business class ever, puts everything else to shame really. Qantas sucked afterwards.

If I ever have to go to Australia again - will definitely look into getting business class seats!
