Cannondale, imho. Pretty sure I seen it in the Cyclesuperstore on Monday.

    CRC have the Cannondale
Ritchies in Swords have the Orion
    Wheelworx have the CR1

From my own recent research I'd say the CR1 has the most relaxed geometry.
The caad is a bit more aggressive and is aluminium (compared to the other two which are carbon) but is still supposed to be comfortable.
The Orion is supposed to be a good blend of speed and comfort.
Depends what you're looking for but of those 3 I'd lean towards the CR1.

EDIT: There's a nice Rose Carbon Pro 3000 for sale on adverts (no affiliation, just saw it while searching)

Going off the theory of: "I'd rather have the best Aluminium frame on the market over a mid range CF frame", I'd take the CAAD10.
But I'd get the black paint job.

The CAAD10 has the same geometry as the SuperSixEvo so it's a purely race machine, it's designed for speed, but apparently because of Cannondale's genius when it comes to Aluminium tubing design, it's actually pretty forgiving frame over distance if you're supple enough for the aggressive positioning.

Thanks for the feedback. I have no intention of racing so the bike will be used only for club spins, sportives/charity cycles etc so a mix of both comfort and relative speed would be important. Is the Cannondale Caad10 suitable for spins of at least 100km as I hope to consistently reach that distance on the weekend rides.

Not yet. Might be out of the price range though I see its on sale on Wiggle but I would rather support local businesses.

    http://www.cyclocrossworld.com/ridley-orion-shimano-ultegra-complete-bike €1600 without the wheels

    the Scott CR1 with Ultegra

    http://www.wheelworx.ie/bikes/road-bikes/road-bikes-men/scott-cr1-10-2014-€1999

    or Cannondale Cadd10 (all 105)-€1799

I've had brief test spins on two of them (Ridley & Scott...Hey, Ridley Scott! Ha:D)
Of those two, the Scott was nicer.

I was just wondering aswell how much of a discount should I expect when paying by cash up front. Would a 10% discount be worth asking for or alternatively expect some gear to be thrown in with the bike to this value:D

I wouldn't be expecting a discount. Some people spend €10000 on a bike and get nothing.

Yes you should be looking for a discount as most shops are paying a few percent on bike to work scheme. 10% might be much but 5% or the equivalent in parts (i.e. shoes/pedals/tools etc..) or I'd go elsewhere.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that virtually NObody pays anything like full sticker price at the upper end of the market.

Noticed over last year or so a big switch to Giant withing my club and a few other clubs I know locally. Looking at Giant defy advanced , had a spin on last years bike and and it's super comfy compared to few others I've tried. My head has been turned

The Giant shop on the Long Mile Rd will let you take a test bike for a weekend.
