    .................................Bayer-Leverkusen-Preview-640x360.png...........................

Midfielder Marouane Fellaini misses Wednesday's match through suspension.

A win for either team will secure their path to the last 16 but a draw will suffice should Shakhtar Donetsk lose to Real Sociedad in Group A's other game.

"They are both injured," United boss David Moyes said of striker Van Persie and defender Vidic.

"Nemanja Vidic had concussion and Robin has a problem with his groin.

"Neither of them are long-term but they are not quite ready yet."

Despite conceding a last-minute goal to Cardiff in the Premier League on Sunday, David Moyes's United side go into the match in Germany on the back of a 10-game unbeaten run.

Leverkusen will be without Germany winger Sidney Sam, who tore a thigh muscle after only four minutes of their 1-0 win at Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

Sami Hyypia's team are second in the Bundesliga, four points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and have recorded eight consecutive home victories in the Champions League group stages.

Since losing 4-2 to Manchester United in the group's opening round, Leverkusen have picked up seven points in the following three games.

"We have always played well at home," said former Liverpool defender Hyypia.

"It won't be easy for Manchester United and, of course, we really want to win."

Will be a tough game for United, Leverkusen have won their last 8 Champions League group stage home matches.

"Sami Hyypia's men have been in outstanding form this season.

They are currently second in the Bundesliga and the only time they have failed to win at the Bay Arena was their draw with European Cup winners Bayern Munich last month."

Will Anderson make an appearance tonight?

Not looking forward to this game at all. Probably see 2 maybe all 3 of Giggs, Valenica and Welbeck.

A few bookies have us 2/1 to win

Tough test for UTD this one but probably what they need right now.

Im going with a score draw.

    What are they?

The first one that went up was wrong and it had Young, Welbeck and Giggs in it.

EDIT: #mufc: De Gea; Smalling, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Jones, Giggs, Nani; Kagawa; Rooney.

Leverkusen's back line can be ropey sometimes, they were a bit of a shambles in the first game. If they play like that again United can get something. But thye'll most likely play properly this time.

Ah bollox, they have a Kagawa too

Shinji bursting through the middle, setting up the move and leading the defender away for Valencia.

Play him through the funking middle more often!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Oh Valencia, why does it take you so long to do something good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

    Kagawa plus Rooney <3333

Kagawa through the middle > Rooney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,785 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat

The ball drops to Evans and then Jones. Why no Rooney/Kag?

I know we all praise valencia daily but he really is the best winger in europe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,785 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat
