Plus €24 cashback if you go via Fat cheese! Making a rather attractive €125 net price (say what you like about FC it has always worked for me).

Very good phone for the price especially if you want a smaller 4" phone and don't care too much about having the latest Android. Gets great reviews too looking at Amazon.
Only red one left in stock, the blue one having sold out only the other day, so if interested don't dither about!

As it's a year old or so the other benefit is that you'll find cases and screen protectors reduced on the likes of Amazon.

I'm attempting to link to it but the Vodafone website redirects so go through the home page if the link doesn't work for you. Also remember only red in stock at time of writing.

Pity about the colour. Good deal otherwise.

When the automated payout doesn't work & you need to query something with an actual sentient being, that's where the appalling deficiencies in customer service become all too apparent - i.e. there is none, nada, zip etc.

For anyone that owns one. What sort of memory has it? and does the battery have much life. Also are there many better options in that price range

The Motorola Moto G looks like a better deal.

The only advantage of the S3 mini is the SD card and replaceable battery.

Rightly/wrongly I picked one up for the missus for XMas, seems to get largely positive reviews on Amazon, that's her sorted...

tbh that battery is not going to last pissing time.
if you can get a replacement larger battery then it seems decent enough.
id probably go with the moto g though in all fairness

That comment about the battery could be misleading. Are you simply basing that assumption based on the battery mAh as seen on paper, or real life experience?

As far as I can see the reviews on Amazon appear to contradict that. Some reviews are claiming the battery is lasting 3 days (usage varies of course). Also top mobile reviewers on YouTube say that battery life is impressive and it saw them through a full day and still had some juice left in the tank. And I'm sure they're not light users in the least ;)

Would be interested to hear from anyone who actually has this phone.

Fwiw, I picked up one (mini) yesterday and it's still running after its initial charge.

Funnily enough I was reading the reviews of the Samsung 64GB micro sd card and reviews said it worked great in the S3 mini. Might be useful to know if you'd rather have your music "on board" rather than in the cloud. At least the memory is expandable anyhow.

Had a Ace 2 with a Li-Ion 1500 mAh would last a decent time. Depends how you used it. light usage I'd get a day and a half amybe even longer. It wasn't a big issue for me. I'd expect the Mini would be similar. Hard to compare with other phones they might have GPU or CPU and a screen, or brightness that uses more power.

Have an S3 mini. Great phone. Average use ie browsing Sky Sports, using WhatsApp alternating between wifi and data. I currently charge it in the evening and needs to be charged the following evening. So your lookin at 24 hours absolute max

Thats not bad for a smart phone.

I'm using a Lumia 520 atm and it barely gets through 12hrs. Tiny battery in though.

Good job we can look up owner's verdicts on these sort of thing nowadays on the internet rather than going with some randomer's guesswork, isn't it?

TBH battery life is hard to judge. Some phones seem a lot harder than others.

    Xperia M,

Was between that and the s3 mini and most recommended the Xperia M.

Can put a large sd card in it and I'd text, facebook A LOT and I get 2 days out of it.

    Reduced to €169 on Three, €179 on Meteor/Emobile, €199 on O2.
Decent phone, battery lasts a day on moderate usage, less for heavy usage.

I successfully got an unlock code from eBay for the equivalent of €9.82. Received the code in about 30 minutes and it worked perfectly.

Not sure of I can post the details (mods?) so pm me if you want to know the seller.

I've had one of these phones for six months - paid 249 for it. Delighted with it and would recommend it. I get a bit more than the 24 hours on a charge, depending on what I am doing, so I generally charge it once a day.
