Someone else's bank details on my LPT log in

    Hi,

I just went onto the LPT site to register before tomorrow's deadline and after putting in my Property ID and PIN number my details came up and it said the return had already been submitted - but this is the first time I've logged in to do the tax for 2014.

When I went into the payment details it has someone else's name and bank details and the monthly direct debit option selected. I paid in a lump sum last time.

Am I right to be very concerned? My name, my address, my PPSN number and someone else was able to access it.

I will ring Revenue first thing in the morning but has this happened to anyone else?

    Thanks

Hackers don't usually pay your bills for you. Bizarre!

Yes, it is very bizarre! While I'm grateful to this person for paying my tax for me I'm very concerned that he was able to access my account for which there is an ID code and a PIN!

In some cases LPT is paid by the persons employer (taken from their paycheck). Could this explain it?

No, that wouldn't be it. The last time I paid the tax in one go and never applied for it to be paid through my salary. I don't know the person whose name is on it.
