Hey, I'm looking at picking up some new gear, going skiing for a week in February. Spotted this on MandMDirect and I really like it but I'm struggling to find any reviews online, anyone have it and can give some feedback?

I know from sailing gear that HH are a great brand but haven't seen much of their ski gear. Cheers

Rowley Birkin QC ; Their ski gear shares most of the same tech and all of the build quality of the sailing gear. Not familiar with the jacket & the link has very little details about waterproofing or breathability. Like most brands HH will make everything from entry level to high end.

It does say the jacket has a polyamide shell, which normally indicates a reasonable amount of medium – high end water proofing and breathability! Happy shopping!

Nice jacket & good price! That's not a great description though, no mention of inner pockets- make sure it has a few! Just be sure it has a proper lift pass pocket at least ;)

Yeah, that's what's worrying me. Complete lack of detail on the site and can't find it on the HH site either. Annoying!

Tweet them. I've had the same issues researching a new helmet. Everyone I've tweeted has replied.

Probably as it is an out of season, last season jacket.

I actually rang them, no further detail available. That said, a public tweet might entice more out of them. Weird that I can't find anything online about it though.

I have not been on in a few weeks but Sports Persuit UK is a great site for stuff on the cheap, they normally have some good stuff on their. Can be hit and miss in terms of what is on it.

They even had an Artyrex sale last year!

    Huge +1 to sport pursuit.

If you order anything feel free to use my link so I can get some credit…. http://www.sportpursuit.com/join/john

Only thing to watch out for is their delivery time, takes a few weeks because of the way they order so don't leave it till the last minute.

I've used them a few times. Sell really good quality stuff.

EDIT - Just looking there, they don't have a huge amount of stuff up at the moment. Brands only go up for a week or so at a time so check back every few days. They update the site all the time.

Is Sports Pursuit something along the lines of iBood? Not a huge range of stuff on there.

Yep its a daily deals flash site, updates nearly every day, They have had skis from Elan and Vokel on there all ready this year, clothing form a wide range of companies.

Most brands go up for around 8 days. It's a mixture of big brands and other smaller brands.

It's not at all like groupon, living social etc. Its pretty much a normal online shop, but they only have the brands up for 8 or so days and what ever you buy doesn't ship until the end of the particular deal.

Sounds like a pain, but its very good as long as you don't want anything within a week or so.

Cool, will keep an eye out. I'm not travelling til February anyway so time isn't a massive issue. Also, if I'm honest with myself, my current ski gear is in perfect nick, I just want new stuff!

There is a scientific formula that shows how much ski gear you should have and need.

    X + Y = :) Where X = current equipment and Y = what you want

Yup, I hear ya but I've also gone through this equation so far this year with:
    • Cycling Gear
    • Golf Gear
    • BMW Retrofits

    :o

There's some trespass gear up on Sportpursuit today if you're still looking. One of my mates has their gear and loves it. Don't have any myself.

Yup, got it and sent it back. Very light, no ski pass pocket. I Bought a North Face Bansko jacket instead, I'm just finished my final run of this year's trip and it has been an excellent piece of kit, well worth the €250 I paid for it. It has come down in price since then.

Returning it today as well - poor enough quality, weird body shape and no skipass pocket means its on its way back.
