Gordon Ramsay's Christmas Pudding

I’ve my traditional Christmas puddings made, and quite good they are looking.

Anyway I’m also thinking of doing Gordon Ramsay’s version of Christmas pudding and was wondering if any of you have tried it. To be honest I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how it could be calssified as a Christmas pudding.

I’m also wondering what its keeping qualities would be; do you prepare it on the day, or can you prepare weeks in advance and warm up on the day.

Anyone ever tried Ramsay’s Christmas Pudding.

Have look at both these sites:

Thought the Christmas forum would be a better bet.

Don't want to double post so if an administrator is reading this I've no objections to it been moved.

Haven't made it but from reading the recipe that is just a version of a bog standard steamed pudding with a bit of extra spices. Definitely will not keep like a traditional pudding, could be made ahead and frozen if it doesn't suit to make it on the day.

I'm going to try this one this year http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2791/blitzandbake-sticky-toffee-christmas-pud, I will make it ahead and freeze because it doesn't have sufficient fruit to keep like traditional types.

I have used the Delia Smith recipe , but I had toyed with the idea of doing the Ramsay one as well, however, I think I'll give it a miss.
