AFAIK there are a few who frequent here who I remember having details about a charity which takes donated old shoes and sends them to Africa. Ill have a look and see if I can get any of the details

2nd belcarra, have 3-4 pairs that i would donate to.

Me too. Really don't want to just bin them and there are only so many old pairs you need for walking etc

Very good. Just googled Simon Dublin and they list runners as a suggestion for donation so might just drop them into my local Simon centre/shop.

I'm donating some and picking some up from people in the club for Trust Ireland. They have told me they are particularly short of mens runners so the more the merrier.

Thanks folks!
I have some clothes as well (A shipment of Mayo for Sam 2013 t shirts:cool:) so will try and make it in to that Trust building during the week.

On a separate note I wonder if the Parkrun people could organise the charities to do a drop off day at one of their upcoming races runs?
200+ people would have lots to donate I imagine...
