REplacing free standing dishwasher with integrated

    Hi guys,

We are replacing an old free standing dishwasher with a fully integrated Whirlpool ADG 7560/3. Our piping currently sits behind the old dishwasher. We are aware that we need to move the plug from behind the dishwasher to under the sink, but will we also need to get the plumbing redone, or is there a space allowance on the back of the unit to allow for such piping? The manual is indicating a depth on the dishwasher of minimum 570 and 585, the units on the new kitchen we are presuming to be standard 600mm.

We are paying the company we bought from to install the unit but I would assume that we need to have the core plumbing in place in advance.

    Thanks for the help

I just replaced the wall socket with an unswitched fused spur (as in photo below), otherwise none of my fittings needed changing or moving. Will there be a plinth in place when the appliance is delivered and will you have a panel ready for the front of the dishwasher and will the same guy fit that panel to the front of the dishwasher?

The installer will install the wooden panel on the door. A plinth will be all set up. The Electrics are being moved tomorrow night but looking at the depth of the units, the amount of piping directly behind the current washer and the depth of the new one I think we'll need to move them from behind. Unfortunately.

Plumbing for intg. dishwasher has to be offset, otherwise it will stick out the thickness of the stand pipe

That was the result of the indepth discussions with father in law, husband and I last night. I need to get a plumber.

Like coylemj said, fused spur is easiest/cheapest. If your countertop is 600mm deep from wall, all plumbing will need moving. Check what width of an opening is there also. If it is bigger than 600mm the door will not look correct as to much of a gap will be visable. You might need a filler piece to fill out the gap. Kicker will also need to he notched to allow the door to open. A good installer will cut the notch.

Doesn't that depend on the depth of the appliance spaces and the clearance behind the appliance the OP is buying?

My cold feed and waste pipe are all behind the integrated dishwasher, not offset. OP needs to check the dimensions in the product manual.

Whirlpool UK says the machine depth is 555mm and the niche depth is 570mm. Click 'Key Features', then 'Technical Details'.....

So that will give us 45mm which will mean the copper piping is fine it will be the plastic pipes that need moving. Thanks a million guys :D
