Zafira abs

Hi, My zafira 2002 1.6 petrol failed nct and the abs light was not coming on in the dash. Brought to a garage and the bulb was checked but the garage man said that the cable to the drivers wheel for the abs was missing. He thinks that the dash circuitry was worked on and the display will need replacing. Can someone explain…

Hi,
My zafira 2002 1.6 petrol failed nct and the abs light was not coming on in the dash. Brought to a garage and the bulb was checked but the garage man said that the cable to the drivers wheel for the abs was missing. He thinks that the dash circuitry was worked on and the display will need replacing.
Can someone explain why the abs light is conitnuously off even though the cable to the sensor is not there.
Would a simple fuse removal cause this not to report failures. Its such a shame as the car has been running fine for us.

To pass NCT ABS light must come on during ignition and then go out.
You need to get this fixed to pass NCT, removing a fuse won't help.

Someone obviously removed or broke the bulb for the abs light.

That explains why it never came on.
