.... I've hummed and hawwed over this for a year, asked you about Mk II Focus, Mk II S40s and a few other cars. I've had a few threads and many posts asking advice but the day is drawing near and the end of the line for our K11 Micra is close to hand. It's still 100% but it'll be nice to have the missus in something a little safer/faster/modern. Put a deposit down on this on Friday and paying the balance on Monday. 2005 320i SE.

Thanks to everyone for all their advice! It took a while as it's only the 2nd car I've ever bought..... ever!

Looks like a fine car in the pics, and petrol so should be reliable. Happy motoring!

At least it's not the later efficient dynamics model that are a disaster too. Well wear!

I like that colour on them, makes a change from the usual suspects.

Picked it up today. Wow- it's so far removed from the Micra it's almost unbelievable. There's so much power, the comfort level is vastly improved and little touches like the external illumination of the door handles can't help but put a smile on your face.

The only complain would be that with dipped headlights the beam doesn't seem bright or to throw far and the headlamp positioning has been adjusted. Has anyone else had this issue?

Never had any complaints with the headlights on my E90. Maybe you need to have them aligned?

Lights on my e90 are fine to be honest.
Are the lights on the 320se self leveling, or is there a way to adjust them.

EDIT: and best of luck with it!

All E90 lights can be adjusted manually using the white Allen / Phillips slot on top of the headlights, the startup movement is to calibrate or to move the level motors and prevent them from seizing I guess!

Love that little touch myself, one of the first thing people usually comment on aswell when they see the car.

You can adjust the angle of the lights but the issue seems to be that when dipped they don't project far enough. High beams are fine but dipped aren't. Would a brighter bulb be an option?

Folks in the office reckon they probably need to be realigned- does that sound normal?
