Was anyone over at the show in Birmingham last week?

Besides being a fantastic show, did anyone watch the auction? Anyone know why or how the hen worthy Mini Cooper made close to 19k sterling?

Yea was at with my dad, was a great show, went over around the auction area but you had to pay to have a look around :(, didnt catch any of the cars for sale

Really love the dream rides part of the show also, you get a great ride along in a super fast car plus the money goes to charity

It was only a tenner for two in and you got a grand book the details of all the cars in it.

Very early Minis are making mega money now for some reason, even restoration projects.

Being going a few years now, we tried to guesstimate how many people travel over from here, any ideas?

Thought there was more 'high end' stuff this year.

last year you could go around three sides of the auction, this year just one, if I was there for two days I would like to watch for a while, but with one day, too much to see otherwise!.

Does any else think the auto jumble is shrinking or the trade stands in general?
Its the first time I remember I did not see the 'Lucas' stand for example?, also the hammerite stand, its was always busy!!!, but there was a couple of new ones too, guy selling old stock Ford parts.

We drove over and a good chunk of the people on the boat were going to it.

It was my first year at it, will definitely be going again. I would highly recommend getting there on the Friday. A lot less people around.
