Bargain hotel rooms in early Jan, in Ireland?

Folks, Inspired by the Carlton flash sale currently on (40 euro per room per night), is there likely to be hotel sales / bargain rooms in early Jan, as it tends to be the quiet time of year? The Carlton hotels are great but the only place that tickles our fancy is Kinsale, and it's a bit too long of a drive for 1 night away
