vintage tractor tax and use

can any one tell me if your tractor is classified as vintage does that mean it cannot be used for agricultural purposes on road

Although many owners use their vintage vehicles for every day use, the vintage tax is a concession for vehicles that are for hobby use only. If the letter of the law is applied like what's being done with regard to commercial vehicles for private use there could be trouble for some owners.

I wouldnt worry too much as long as everything else is in order like insurance and rollbar.
The insurance could end up causing issues if you have to make a claim.
You can get vintage insurance or vintage and agri insurance. the latter covers you for agri work. vintage insurance covers very little.

When I got vintage insurance on my 101, towing trailers was specifically excluded. They said it was due to some farmers using vintage insured tractors to tow stock trailers leading to expensive claims. I had to write them a letter saying I would only use the matching missile trailer for shows!
