Removing a Parrot CK3100 from car

    Hi all,

I recently bought a car with a Parrot handsfree kit installed. I won't have any use for the kit to be honest!

The car is a 2001 A4 and as I have an aftermarket HU into it, the rear speakers or sub no longer work as they are on a separate amp which doesn't connect to aftermarket head units.

I have bought the harness/connector needed to get the speakers working but there is a crap tonne of wiring and leads for the parrot stuffed behind the centre console and also on the original radio loom.

Before I go at it, has anyone ever removed one, and if so, how easy?

All I have to go by is google images which show the components of the kit so I have a rough idea what needs to be removed.

Long story short, is this a doable job or should it be left to a "Parrot installer".

    My guide: :P

Depends if it's hard wired in or plugged in using a plug and play ISO connector.

I'm pretty sure its ISO. Straight forward in theory I reckon. Once I reach that blue "brainbox" and remove that, it should hopefully just be a case of disconnecting the display/mic and removing the parrot harness.

    Thanks.

I'd leave it if I were you. By removing parts of the dash, to remove the kit you could be liable to unwanted squeaks and rattles when it's put back together again

Removing one is bloody peanuts for anyone remotely into DIY, make sure disconnect the battery first and put all the bits into a little bag for save keeping.

    enjoy.
