    Had a legacy and an impreza before.. Subaru make brilliant cars... They've kind of screwed up the styling of late, this car is U.G.L.Y

    I'm not sure what they are going for now, the new impreza, as you say, is a dog. The legacy, still looks OK, but not a patch on before.. And now this pig of a car..

    Subarus were never well styled, they looked purposeful and you knew about the rally heritage etc. they've never made a beautiful car IMO.

    They age very easily too,you'd see a 2008 or so knocking about the roads and it would look 10 years old.

    The 04 wrx is nicer than most cars on tepee road today

    Looks like a Mazda 6 tbh. It's infinitely nicer than the current one. I tried one a couple of years ago and couldn't get over the looks (and I'm not that picky). It's a decent enough car but both the exterior and interior look like something from c. 1985 and it was almost a backward step from its predecessor. It was never going to be all that difficult to improve on.

    I like Subarus and I think some look really mean, but they're just blandboxes with bad interiors to look at.

    Impreza mk1 is uncannily like an 89 model corolla to look at, its just the rally ability and boxer engine that fools your brain into thinking it looks nice.

    Evos are the same idea. An amazing car based on a humdrum little saloon
    1.3 lancers look dreadful. Evos less so. Still not well styled - just purposeful.

    I love lancers too..... There might be something in what you are saying.. I only like the car, because it is fast, noisy and has a spoiler.. And has nice wheels

    in the real world i would prefer in 2015 if subaru re launched the 4th gen legacy with an updated interior and auto box, but thats not gonna happen. by then i could be looking to replace my current legacy and this one is certainly way nicer imo than the current one. a lot will depend on price aswell, one reason why i ruled out the new mazda 6. it interests me, but so will whatever alfa might bring out aswell :rolleyes:
