Interference between sky eye-saorview

I've got a problem with my magic eye and saorview box.
Skybox is in another room and aerial signal comes via skybox to my bedroom ,connects magic eye and then goes to saorview box and then loops stright out to the CRT tv.
I've got the red light light on & picture & sound, its just that the picture quality is very poor with what looks like interference between sky eye-saorview box which makes it barely watchable.
Picture is horrible when saorview box is off, BUT perfect (very clear) for a second or two when I switch saorview box on and seconds after when saorview set-top box light goes green picture is poor again but better than when saorview box is switched off.
When I plug magic eye stright to the CRT tv picture is perfect.

    Saorview picture however is clear.

So I bought new tv with saorview built in.
Saorview is perfect - sky analog (magic eye) better but still plenty of criss/cross lines on it so picture quality is still considered poor.
I tried different frequencies out from skybox (RF out numbers) but makes no difference.

Aerial is new from last year and can not be faulted.
It's a new magic eye. I've also checked and changed the connections on either end of the cable. I've also checked the aerial cable for breaks but as far as i can see there's none.

    Any suggestions welcomed.

Coaxial splitter. One cable in, two cables out. One cable into the Saorview box, one into the TV. I have a HDMI cable going from my Saorview box into the TV.

For my TV, when I click the "TV" button on the Sky remote, and then the "Help" button, I can select a different "input feed", and are able to then select the other input (coaxial). Allows me to not have to use the "TV" remote when switching between the Sky and the Saorview.

What make & model Saorview box?

Well (you will have realised this yourself), since the Sky picture was perfect with the cable going straight to the CRT TV, the problem must lie with the other equipment in the bedroom.

Have you been plugging the 'eye' (the eye is the IR sensor, the part with the sockets is a sender unit that converts the IR signal to RF & sends it back to the Sky box) directly into the aerial sockets of the TVs or box? Maybe try using a length of (well screened) cable to move it away from the receivers. Probably won't make any difference but worth a go.

You need to move the Sky signal to a different channel number (frequency). There is a hidden menu on the Sky box, that allows you to move the Sky signal to a free channel. It seems as if the Sky box is using a frequency that is also in use by Saorview.

It depends on the make of box but basically
    1) Move frequency in menu (RF Channel number) (Normally 68)
    http://www.sky-remotes.com/setup-sky-magic-eye.shtml
On the bottom half of the page they have instructions for newer boxes
    2) Retune TV (not using Saorview box, but TV remote and analogue tune)

Let us know how you get on.

If that is the case, how to explain this:
When I plug magic eye stright to the CRT tv picture is perfect.

The OP has already done this.

    Seamus1964.

What is the picture like when you disconnect the EYE and plug directly into TV.
If your picture is better the bin the EYE turn off the rf2 out supply and buy a set of these.

If you disconnect the aerial from the RF IN of the Sky box does the picture improve? If so it is interference arriving via the aerial.

    Thanks lads,

I think I got it sorted,
