I'm strongly thinking of going back to an iPhone (has a 3gs but changed to a Nokia Lumia 800 - great phone but fu(k all apps on Windows phones) but I'm concerned about the possibility of having poor signal again.

Has the reception issue been sorted yet with the iPhone?

Has it got better or worse since the 3gs?

Oh and I live in the countryside so I won't benefit from a mast nearby wherever I go.

At present I have no signal issues with the current phone ..... but it a smartphone with nothing to be smart about :(

I just upgraded from a 3GS to a 5s and the signal strength is a lot better. Where I live the 3GS was always hanging on with one bar where as the 5s has four bars. Out an about it nearly always has a 3G signal where my 3GS would have been flicking in an out of E/3G the whole time.
