Button masher recommendations (such as Track & Field, Athlete Kings)

My daughter and myself enjoy playing Track & Field (arcade & PS1), Athlete Kings (Saturn) to name a few. Was just wondering what other simple (enough) button mashers are out there ?

Mostly interested in sports rather than party games although we do play Wii Party U and she likes Mario Party on the Wii and Gamecube. Even better would be games that support more than 2 player.

Picked up a copy of London 2012 for PS3 which I should have soon.

Recommend a game from any platform from NES up to PC :)

Winter Heat & Decathlete on Sega STV are decent button mashers.

California Games has some button mashing if I remember correctly. NES version is great fun.

Isn't Decathlete the US version of Athlete Kings ?

I have Winter Heat also. Couldn't remember it's name earlier :)

In my mind button mashers and joystick wigglers will always be 8bit games. Many a joystick broke in my youth playing games that required me to do some extreme stick wiggling :)

Olympic Gold on the Megadrive used to involve some titanic battles between me and my brother when we were yoots.

Track and Field the Arcade version was clearly one of the best button mashers ever made!

    Oh. Didn't know that existed.

I'll check out some of the older games for C64 and Speccy and see if she likes any of those.

    Thanks again.

Ok. So I picked up a copy of a button masher but its hardly retro. London 2012 on PS3. Actually great fun in multiplayer :)

Will pick up Beijing 2008 also. There are a few PS2 Olympic titles to look into also.

I'm kinda trying to put together a decent Mario collection, with most of his games he has been in.
The ones I'm missing are the Olympic releases for the Wii, both summer and winter, I think there are four titles so far, must pick them up.
Mario Sports Mix is a nice little sports compilation, more than button bashers though, but nothing too technical, its on the Wii.

Athens 2004 was a hoot - some of the modes were overly complex tho - not 7 year old friendly.

Other then that - The Mario Party series for N64/GC/Wii is your best bet - or if you can find it Bishi Bashi Special on PS1
Sonic and Mario @ Olympics games are ok too.

If its a great game for kids I couldn't recommend Kirbys Adventure highly enough, simple to play but looks amazing. Its on the Wii but quite hard to find, well worth it when you do.

Anyone mention the 'Dr Bob version'?

It involves playing these games in MAME with a dance mat - sounds like good exercise :pac:
