What would you do that wouldn't be illegal or get you arrested if you happened to be standing behind a lady in a que that you happened to live with in a house share before that did a runner without paying her bills and who ignored all phone calls and voicemail when trying to talk to her about what she owed?

Keep asking her questions about why she left without paying, follow her out of the shop/building and walk alongside her all day asking the same questions

I don't know if you could do a citizens arrest for unpaid bills, but I'd get a debt collection agency to send her an ominous letter about what she owes and possible legal action if she doesn't pay up. It would probably be enough to scare her into paying, and I don't think it's particularly costly.

    Follow her home …

    Trip her up.

Follow her home and get as much information as possible on where she lives, her daily routine etc.

Then go on the deep web and attempt to hire an assassin. They like to be paid in bitcoins as far as I know. Half before the hit, half after.

That's the best and most rational solution I can come up with. It may be illegal, but you shouldn't be caught if you hire a true professional.

It's fair annoying when it happens!

Take out my phone, post a question about the situation on boards and then lose internet connection so I couldn't read the replies and was too scared to do anything about it so just let her leave and not do anything about it at all and then make something up about what I did and post that on boards and say I actually did that when in fact I did nothing because I am scared of confrontation.

    ..... but that's just me.

Most likely I would pay for my goods and go home. Can't be arsed dealing with people like that anymore.

That's what you do with heartache.

Does it work for anger too?

I'd avoid the crime of run on sentences as a first priority.

I just want to be prepared if this ever happens and to hear people's thoughts or ideas and just hear a bit of humour from you guys. I do envisage it happening eventually where I walk past her or just meet her in public. Only 62 euro but it pissed me off royally at the time. Would love to get a slice of pie and dunked it right in her face in front of her friends or something, but assassination sounds great too. Pushing her in front of a bus would be tempting too. What a right ****ing bitch tho, has anyone ever dealt with folk who've done a runner and you've met them randomly some time after?

text her telling her that you're going to send a letter to her employer outlining her actions.

Boot her up the hole then stroll away whistling like a boss.

I must say, the Monty Python brand of humour has degraded somewhat down the years.

Strip naked and throw my clothes at her saying "you've taken everything else, you might as well take the shirt off my back".

Follow her home and knock on her door every single night until she paid what she owed.

Alternatively, steal the clothes off her clothes line and post her one of the items every week covered in ****.

I'd do other stuff too but I'm not giving away all my ideas.

Dead right, what got to me aswell tho was the way she went about it, hindsight is a great thing but she wasn't to be seen in her last month of renting as if she had it planned, some people might scuff at the 'little' amount that she didn't pay but she was effectively putting her hands in our pockets. She'd be at The house all day and leave by the time we got back from work, she had her boyfriend over every night. Had no problem with that but what happened after I couldn't help but feel that this girl was absolute scum of the earth, it's the house sharing life tho, you get good ones and not so good ones.

I might add, me being an absolute idiot at times, I sent her a text saying a letter had arrived for her that looked important like it might of been about a job or something (she was looking for a job at the Time), her boyfriend showed up at the door to collect, I asked could she please drop in what's owed and that I'd appreciate it, he said she was abroad for the last 6 weeks (bull****), gave him the letter and reminded him to get her to drop it in or whatever, sure sure he says then never to be heard from again. Lesson to everyone. When it comes to money, don't trust anyone, or people you live with.
