Established Marathon or first running

Hi, just wanted to get your opinion on this. I am planning on doing a marathon next May, I had been looking at Limerick/Belfast which are both established although I have heard negative reports re pacers at Belfast on here. I know I have 5.5 months but I had hoped to have a few more decent mileage weeks done before I start the 18 week plan. I'm only getting back into regular running after a few months lower mileage. So I had wanted to get the mileage up to be starting from a good base.

Should I stick to the original plan or do another marathon a few weeks later. I was looking at the Rock n Roll Liverpool. My question is should I miss the 3 weeks pre training and do an established race or get the extra prep in and do a for profit race where the company are running it for the first time and have a bad reputation, although their Dublin half was ok?

Can't do Cork this year and want to complete it by then.
    Thanks
