    Hi

I drive a 01 Peugeot 206 and recently there has been a clicking/cracking noise when I brake. The steering wheel kind of shakes at the same time and when I am driving there is a squeaking noise which seems to be from the driver side front wheel.

I was just wondering if anybody could tell me what this could be and if it will cost a fortune to fix?

I changed the brake pads and discs about 3 months ago.

    Thanks!

Check caliper pins and caliper bracket bolts.
The bracket bolds should be tighten to high torque and offten have thread lock glue to ensure they don't become lose.

I have to presume your wheel lug nuts are tight and the clicking isnt cv drive joints

Are these big jobs to get done? I'm not sure whether I am going to keep the car as I have put a lot of money into it over the year and a half I have it.

Your in DIY section so I presumed you could check them your self.

Pins is inspection caliper bolts is check they are tight.

Wheel nuts again check all are tight

CV joints make clicking noise when turning sharp.

If your unsure ask the mechanic who changed your pads and discs.

This isnt really something you can put off as you rely on brakes to keep you safe. If you can't stop you'll crash.
