Where to go to assess crashed bike?

    Hey guys,

I crashed my fazer at the start of the summer, smashed up the fairing, forks and exhaust. But im considering repairing it over time and I first want to make sure the frame of the bike isn't damaged or if there isn't any definite write-off-able issues with it.

Would a local mechanic be able to do this kind of check, or would i need a specialist? How much would it likely cost for this kind of check?

Well, if it was me I'd go to any proper yamaha dealer and ask them to do it. They might charge you, but that should be included in the cost. They'll price up anything damaged with any scrape with the cost of new yamaha parts. Then fix it yourself and use the money to go to amsterdam for the week

Any good mechanic should be able to assess it.
