    Buy it @ Amazon
Thermally efficient and supremely versatile, The North Face Men’s 1 Glacier Full Zip jacket makes a great solo or layering fleece. Whether striding out in the mountains or walking city streets, depend on the jacket’s microfleece for a line of defence against the cold. Its full-length zip runs up to a high neck for maximum coverage, while a hem drawcord enables a draught-excluding fit at the waist. Soft to the touch, quick to dry and a cinch to care for, the jacket’s fabric is also resistant to pilling and fading for years of use. A couple of pockets to the sides of The North Face Men’s 1 Glacier Full Zip jacket add room to warm up fingers or stash belongings.

    Fantastic value this!

I picked it up a month or so back - I did pay a bit less (£26, but think I also used one of the 20% vouchers) but it's a whopping €70 on The North Face site.

It's quite thin but make no mistake, it's high-quality and very warm (see the 3 x 5 star reviews on Amazon to back that up).

If you haven't signed up to their newsletter yet, you can do that for a further 20% off.

i was given it as a birthday gift .so not my money . had allready bought the lidl fleece zipper jacket and i tell you there is no difference except for the extra pocket in the lidl fleece . all you are paying the extra money for is that little small logo and north face name on the fleece .

Yes but your paying less for the small logo than you usually do.

Think you wandered into the wrong forum.. this is all about the bargain's, not whether it is from Lidl Vs North Face etc.

If the lidl one was still for sale, it would be a valid post but if not then the OP is still a valid BA if no cheaper alternative can be posted.

So you have carried out durability tests on both items over what length of time?
I can vouch that NF clothing lasts and lasts, not saying all Lidl items dont, but them are not the most long lasting/ durable from my own experience.
You might find yourself outside on some bright winters day 7 or 8 years from now, wearing your NF top while polishing the car wheels with the ragged lidl one.

It's a good thing fashion is subjective..

.. and to be fair, it looks like every other fecking fleece out there.

And my mother thinks I look quite the dish in it.. and you know, mother knows best.

lidl one has already been through hell and back with mud cow crap and salt water and howling winds with lots of sea spray thrown in , bought a red fleece 2 years ago it and has stood the test of time .
got a navy blue one 3 weeks ago as a gift .they are the same quality of material as the north faces fleece so I cant seen why one costs a lot more than the other same fleece and same materials .
so to me its just a lot more money for a small badge and name on the front , and this is coming from a person who has bought north face tops before last year for my coastal trekking and trekiing accros hills and mountains on my coarse angling and fly fishing trips .
don't get me wrong its a good price for the north face fleece but im only saying that the lidl fleece is just as good for a lot less money and I have worn and used both fleeces in real world situations .

The picture makes it look horrible and I it bought only to really wear around the house but it looks better than the picture. The only thing is wind just seems to pass through it. Was walking to work with it and a short sleeve shirt on and my arms were freezing.

Ditto - it's actually way nicer than the picture.

Haven't worn it out & about yet so can't comment on the wind thing.

Are you sure? The Quidco 7% cash rate is for musical instruments. Other than that they only seem to have cashback on Kindles and software.

Has anyone seen these (or similar) still available anywhere, for around the €40 or less price point?

    Seems like a decent bargain!

Glad to hear most were happy.. sleeves a little long alright.

Am off to Utah on Saturday for a fortnight so we'll see how it braves against the temperatures there..
