Lomachenko vs Salido, opinions?

    Seems like Lomachenko has bagged a shot at Orlando Salido for his 2nd fight! What are your opinions on it?

    Salido is on the slide, and for me he is a champion worth targeting. Lomachenko should have too much for him. What weight are we talking? It can't be at 126? Lomachenko would be struggling to get to that. It has to be at 130 lbs surely?

    Seems unclear what weight it'll be at, 130 would be ideal for lomachenko to find his feet, although, he wouldn't bulldoze any of the other 130 champs like he will Salido.

    Not sure why you think he'd struggle to make feather, that's where he won his first Olympic medal and the only reason he had to move up to lightweight was because they got rid of feather. He always looked a bit small at light IMO. Salido holds the WBO feather title, so I don't see how they are going to be suddenly fighting for the 'title' a weight up.

    Anyway, I find it very hard to predict what's going to happen as we know little to nothing about Lomachenko's pro ability. Salido is as rough and tough as they come and it could be a very interesting night if it goes past 6 rounds.

    Maybe he could make it but he also has matured since 2008. I don't think 57/56 would have been something he would have found ok to make in 2012. I think he weighed 130 in his last fight and looked ripped. He has a frame that could easily go to 135, hence why I believe a drop top 126 may be a bit much.

    That's right. I do now recall seeing that on the screen. I was thinking he was at SFW and was weighing 130 for some reason.
