Media Center via HDMI pass through on Xbox One?

I watch all live tv through my Windows Media Center machine (tv tuner card connected to satellite & antenna for freeview and saorview). Thinking of getting an Xbox One and am wondering if it would be possible to integrate everything into being accessed via one machine, the Xbox - i.e. be able to watch live tv via Media Center being routed through HDMI pass through on the Xbox, and then be able to switch over to a game easily.

I'm not familiar with HDMI pass through do don't understand how it works, how the remote control side of things is handled etc. But if I could have everything accessed via one interface without having to change input sources on my tv when I want to swap from live tv to a game, that would be sweet. Can it work this way?

I'm using the same set-up as you for a few years now, the only cable I have coming into the living room is a hdmi through a hole in the wall & a usb for the remote receiver.
Have you thought about using your Xbox as a media center extender? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows7/set-up-a-windows-media-center-extender

    or not perhaps... http://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-xbox-one-wont-be-a-windows-media-center-extender

Yeh I used an extended for a while but now use a full HTPC in the living room. Any thoughts on the HDMI pass through on the Xbox One and if it'll allow me to handle live tv through media center?

I'm not sure if there'll be some sort of HDMI pass-through either, as they're mentioning controlling your Sky box through it also.
I have a 360 and watch live TV on that streamed from my HTPC in another room, as the 360 is a Media Centre extender. One will be too I'd say. Would that not work for you? It's very effective!
