Is this Correct on my Payslip

Hi, on my payslip I have deductions for PAYE, PRSI and "LEVY". they add up to about 20% of my gross pay, does that sound correct? I assume the levy is that universal social charge they introduced? Only got access to payslips recently just checking everything is above board. Thanks.

Impossible to say without knowing your gross pay and your tAx credits , marital status

It's likely to be the USC once your income is over the USC exemption threshold.

You can do a manual check of the Universal Social Charge amount using my USC calculator [Excel file] available from http://taxcalc.eu/monthlyss- just enter your pay value and it will display the expected result.
