Tesco Original Dry Cider Can 4X440ml

Who else has tried it? Did it taste and smell like stomach acid to you too?

    Per 250ml serving:

Yeah. As if someone buying cans of Tesco cider will drink 250ml at a time.

    Cider.

    The ultimate expression of skankdom

I quite like the taste, strong and fruity with hint of aluminium.

I think the best served suggestion, in my opinion, is to enjoy this beverage from a paper coffee cup.

Even the taste/smell didn't stop me from drinking a whole can.

If you think that's gank, try the Tesco white lable "value" vodka...you wouldnt use it to clean out a cage.

If you have a britta filter jug thing, pour the vodka through it 5 or 6 times. Makes it a good bit smoother

I remember when I was in college/on the dole I was partial to the occasional bottle of tesco value gin. Cost effective but god knows what it does to your insides! I remember hearing as well that if you put tesco value vodka in the freezer the alcohol and water will separate and the water will freeze, might be bull**** but when it comes to that stuff, i wouldn't be surprised!

Well that's certainly a load of balls as far as basic chemistry goes, but if the alcohol content was low enough (<25%) it would freeze in a -20C freezer alright.

Worth a try, I think Aldi or Lidl's own brand Cider is around the same price. I don't drink cider much but if I do, my favourite is actually Druids, which isn't much more expensive.

OR you could just spend the extra 2 euro and get a halfway decent vodka to start with.

Filtering stuff 5 or 6 times if fine if you're doing home distilling but it soon makes you look like a tightarse at parties :)

I remember the days of bushing with a 2 litre bottle of Quinnsworth cider, straight off the shelf on a hot summers day. Tasteless fizz:D

Or you could filter it before hand, put it into labeless bottles, drop in some food colouring and then you have coloured vodka, or you could infuse it with the taste of something else.

    Not that cheap is it?
I would have thought 50c a can would be the danger line.

I made sloe gin with the cheap stuff - Tesco Everyday Value Gin. Its name made me think every day should be spent crying shame down my face as I wail about my lost love and buy high-heeled clown shoes online.

I'll pass. I pretty much have an iron stomach but I've sampled the Tesco value vodka and it made me spray my insides all over the walls & floor

Druids isn't bad but my favourite was Devils Bit flagons. 2 x 2 litres used to be 7.99. Now that's a cheap weekends drinking.

Linden village was my poison. I had to knock it on the head though as it's bad for the stomach.
I would have one or two but it's very hard to stop drinking it once you start.

Lovely stuff though, nice and dry with a good kick to it.

Fwiw, they sell Tesco own brand bourbon (packaged up as old Samuel) which is lovely stuff Imo.

Right up there with jim beam/jack Daniels. (admittedly with added coke)

Its no worse than lindin village or the scrumpy jack, the aldi own brand is pure mighty, made by bullmers with a differnt tin

Devils Bit Irish cider in Tesco is quite nice and works out about the same price as its not in a smaller 440ml can like this one. The Aldi cider is pretty nice too and about 1.19 per 500ml can.
