    Hey,

I have a wk off coming and want to head off/do something for a few days.

I don't have a particular County in mind (learning towards southwest...kerry/clare though) other than anywhere but Dublin.

Would appreaciate suggestions of where to go, where to stay when I get there and what to do.

    Thanks a Mil!!!

Waterford City, nice and small, people are pretty friendly in my experience and some decent pubs.

Also if you base yourself there you can drive around and visit the surrounding areas and counties.

Come to Kilkenny. Friendliest city in Europe and top ten globally. Plus we have a nice castle. And me of course.

Kilkenny is a kip, I've nothing but bad experiences from that place. Worse than calcutta for pickpockets. It's the only place in Ireland I've ever heard of a girls shoes being stolen on a night out. Dump.

    Go west, young man!

The grey seal pups are out in their furry white coats on Inishkea, and the leaves and heather are in strong colour even if the sky is overcast.

    I suggest the Galway challenge.

Go to Galway, catch yourself a wild baby seal in the bay, head to shop street and try to drown it in a local fillies pants before the end of the night.

Avoid the strip club though, it had AIDS. Or so I'm told...

Donegal or Achill Island. Depends on what you're into, but both of those places are class.

    Or Connemara. Your choice.
