Downloading TV shows to Ipad

Having just returned to Ireland, I find that TV shows are annoyingly, unavailable to download from ITunes. Can anyone recommend somewhere else I can download them from. I've looked on Amazon but don't see any download option.

You could find them on various websites, or, create a US iTunes account.

Apps: Netflix, BBC, 4oD,… There are many more.

Thanks for the responses. I have Netflix etc but what I'm looking to do is download programmes and watch them later, offline, on a plane for example. I didn't think this was possible with Netflix, 4oD ??

Re American ITunes, can I just download this off the App Store?

You just change the country at the bottom of the iTunes windows to US rather than Ireland.

This is possible with a selection of shows on 4oD.

Personally, I download TV shows via torrents & copy them over to my phone/tablet for watching later.
