    From rte.ie
Two men were airlifted to Galway University Hospital after an incident on Inis Mór this afternoon.
A 47-year-old man is in a critical but stable condition after he sustained stab wounds in the incident.
A second man, aged 67 and who is a resident of Inis Mór, is said to have non life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí say an altercation broke out on a public road in Kilronan at around 1pm.
The men were brought to hospital in Galway on separate flights, with one of them accompanied by a Garda.
Gardaí in Kilronan are investigating the incident and no arrests have been made.

lets just say the 47 year old will prob never be able to do his job again, or if he does, many wont trust him, not his fault.

not sure how much i can say really? biko will come in and ban me :(

older guy lost a son in oz about earlier this year, nothing to do with stabbing but maybe he's not having an easy life now..

PS. if ya fancy going to the aran islands, maybe skip the dangerous island of inis mor and head to the two nicer friendlier islands of inis meain and inis oirr

Let's just stick to what the paper has to say.
I'm sure people are talking about it on the island but let's not spread any rumours in this forum anyway.
