Due to my awesome power (lies, all lies!) I manage to crack the carbon blade that is used as a tensioner. Has anyone seen replacements for that?

It's the piece on the left with the yellow number 12 on it.

Didn't notice the "out of stock"...

A further look around would suggest that you'll need a special tool to replace the blade anyway, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Look-LOOK-Blade-Replacement-Tool/dp/B007XJKCHM/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1384288753&sr=8-17&keywords=look+keo+blade which comes at some price:eek:

Wow  I thought I could just do it by hand. Might give CSS a call tomorrow to see if they can find the part and replace it.

Did you ever get new blades Astra?

Just fitted new blade 2's on Saturday went for first spin yesterday. Cycled 20k over to club tour stopped at friends house for him after 4k so clipped out once there. Cycled over then to start clipped out there and snap the tension blade broke in half. Managed to get a spare pair of look pedals as mechanic from LBS was there so was at least able to go on spin.

LBS is getting the blade replaced. He said talking to the rep that they had had a good few pairs break. Trying to say there was a design flaw that the carbon blade was exposed and vulnerable to damage from grounding or knocks. That might fly if I grounded them and damaged them but no way did they get a knock.

I'll take the replacement but and fearful now they will just go again. I am hoping it was just a defective blade. If they do I'll be looking for regular keo2's as replacements.

I did like them. They look great, clipping in was positive and felt very secure bit more effort required clipping out. They don't hang down like regular keo's as there is less weight on back so are a little different to get the front of the cleat into position. That's just muscle memory and will become second nature

The good lads in cyclesuperstore replaced it for free on the spot, they had a few blades lying around. But these are the original blades, not blade2.
