GPS taking ages to get a satellite fix

I have a loan of a Vodafone Smart 858 (Huawei u8160) that I use for GPS tracking. I've put CyanogenMod9 on it. Recently it seems to have great trouble getting a sat fix, today I walked 30 mins and it still didn't get one. It used to take maybe 5 mins, and I thought that was ridiculously long. This worked for me on HTC One X (stock) when I lost GPS completely - might work for you..
